A 20-year-old man lost his life in a car crash in Gwynedd on Saturday night, with three others sustaining serious injuries.
Crash Details
The incident occurred around 22:10 BST on the A499 near Pwllheli, between Llanaelhaiarn and Y Ffôr. It involved a black Ford Fiesta and a red Audi A3. The three injured individuals remain hospitalized for treatment.
Authorities closed the road overnight to conduct investigations.
Police Statement and Appeal
North Wales Police lead investigating officer, Sgt Duncan Logan, extended deepest condolences to the victim’s family. He stated, “I would like to personally thank all those who stopped to assist at the scene and support emergency services.”
Sgt Logan urged witnesses to come forward: “I am urging anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have been travelling or walking in the vicinity and has mobile or dash-cam footage, to contact authorities as soon as possible.”
Emergency Response
Emergency services transported two patients to the hospital via air ambulance and one by road ambulance, where they continue to receive care.
