Chicago police arrested 18 individuals as giant, unruly crowds flooded the Loop after Friday night’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony, an hours-long disturbance that coincided with two taking pictures incidents that left eight younger individuals wounded and a youngster lifeless.
Courtroom information present three of the arrests concerned adults accused of carrying firearms within the Loop that evening, though none of them have been linked to the shootings.
