A person who prosecutors mentioned terrorized workers with a string of raids at Lululemon shops has been sentenced to seven years in jail after pleading responsible to 2 robberies and a felony retail theft on the firm’s retailers.

Davenchia Lewis pleaded responsible to a few crimes from August 2024 through which he focused Lululemon areas in Lakeview and the West Loop.

The spree began August 9, 2024, when Lewis and a lady walked into the Lakeview retailer at 3556 North Southport Avenue and crammed rubbish baggage with practically $11,000 value of merchandise. 5 days later, prosecutors mentioned, he upped the stakes by threatening staff at two extra areas.

Shortly after midday on August 14, he entered the West Loop retailer at 932 West Randolph Avenue carrying a bookbag. Surveillance video allegedly confirmed him pulling out trash baggage and stuffing them with greater than $12,000 in merchandise. When two workers confronted him, prosecutors mentioned, Lewis threatened to shoot them. No gun was ever seen.

That night, he returned to the Lakeview retailer with two accomplices. Based on prosecutors, whereas one lady acted as lookout, Lewis and one other man crammed black baggage with practically $9,400 in merchandise. When an worker tried to intervene, Lewis allegedly warned, “Get away from me, I’ve a gun.”

Sadly for Lewis, Chicago cops who reviewed surveillance footage of the incidents acknowledged his Chicago White Sox tattoo, which, mixed with facial recognition expertise, linked him to the three circumstances.

Decide Maria Kuriakos-Ciesil sentenced Lewis to seven years in jail on every rely, to be served concurrently. With Illinois’ normal 50% discount for good habits and time already spent in jail, his parole date is ready for February 18, 2028.
