Defense wins championships, and great defenders win awards.

Last year, a defensive back won NFL Defensive Player of the Year for the second time in 14 years — Denver’s Pat Surtain II.

Let’s take a look at the odds for this year’s Defensive Player of the Year at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Nov. 18, as well as what to know.

2025-26 NFL Defensive Player of the Year

Myles Garrett, DE, Browns: -280

What to know: Cleveland is 2-8, but it doesn’t matter because Garrett is just that good. His odds shifted from +160 to -280 over the past week, even after the Browns lost their third game in a row. Against the Ravens, Garrett recorded four sacks, five tackles for loss and five QB hits. In Cleveland’s last three games, he has 10 sacks and 11 QB hits. Unreal.

Micah Parsons, LB/DE, Packers: +450

What to know: In the Packers’ Week 11 win over the Giants, Parsons had 1.5 sacks and three QB hits. He moved from +275 last week to +450 this week. After sitting in the top spot on this board for multiple weeks this season, he is now in catch-up mode when it comes to tracking down Garrett.

Aidan Hutchinson, DE, Lions: +1000

What to know: Over the summer, Hutchinson opened as the favorite to be named DPOY, and now he’s third on this list. He has just 1.5 sacks in the Lions’ last four games.

Nik Bonitto, DE, Broncos: +1000

What to know: Bonitto has 9.5 sacks on the season and 21 QB hits. Denver has won eight games in a row and has the third-best defense in the NFL.

Will Anderson Jr., DE, Texans: +1300

What to know: In the Texans’ last five games, Anderson has five sacks, eight QB hits and six tackles for loss. Houston has the No. 1 defense in the NFL.

Jared Verse, DE, Rams: +2500

What to know: Verse was Defensive Rookie of the Year last season. He hasn’t had a sack or tackle for loss in the Rams’ last three outings.
