Nicely, people, that is in all probability the final superstar feud of 2025, and it’s about as random as they arrive!
It appears that evidently Steven Spielberg has vowed by no means to work with Ben Affleck.
And the meat between the Oscar winners started with an alleged confrontation between Affleck and Spielberg’s younger son.

Throughout a latest look on Stephen Baldwin’s “One Dangerous Film” podcast, director Mike Binder revealed that he as soon as helped Spielberg develop a film known as Man About City, which was primarily based on a real-life house invasion at Spielberg’s house.
At one level, Ben was hooked up to star — however Spielberg slammed on the brakes and revealed that Affleck’s involvement can be a deal breaker for him.
“We make a deal that he’s gonna do it, we shake palms, he’ll do it,” Binder recalled (by way of The New York Put up).
“No. Can’t do it with him,” Spielberg reportedly mentioned. “We simply bombed with a film with him, he’s acquired that entire J. Lo factor occurring now, and I’ve different issues with him.
“My son was a bit boy, he was enjoying within the pool, and he acquired out of the pool, and Ben got here in totally dressed, and my son pushed Ben into the pool,” Binder recollects Spielberg saying.
The bomb Spielberg appears to have been 2003’s Gigli.

“And Ben acquired actually mad at him, and he got here out of the pool and picked him up and threw him again into the pool, and made my son cry,” the director continued.
“I simply don’t wish to work with him,” he reportedly defined.
“Plus, his final two films bombed. Discover any individual else. Anybody however him. He’s chilly as hell.”
Binder says he didn’t inform Affleck the actual purpose that he was faraway from the film — however Ben figured it out anyway.
“Ben calls me up, he says, ‘Did Steven Spielberg inform you I threw his child within the water? Is that what occurred? Is that why I’m not in your film?’” Binder recounted, including:

“I mentioned, ‘No, he didn’t say —’ ‘Sure he did! He informed you I threw his child within the water. That’s why I’m not on the film.’”
Finally Binder directed the film himself … and it went straight to DVD. So a tragic ending for all concerned.
Look, it’s been an eventful 12 months for Affleck — and we’re certain he doesn’t love that the pool story has resurfaced (pun supposed!) simply earlier than the vacations.
However he definitely doesn’t have any hassle discovering work lately — and we’re certain Ben will make one other large splash in 2026!
