The suspect within the barbaric beating of a 3-year-old boy caught on a Ring doorbell digital camera is an active-duty Military sergeant, in keeping with his “disgusted” bosses.

Paul Thames — who was charged with third-degree felony harm to a baby — is a sergeant with the first Cavalry Division stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, an Military spokesperson instructed KWTX.

“We’re conscious of the arrest of Sgt. Paul Thames for abuse of a kid. The first Cavalry Division is in communication with regulation enforcement. We’re disgusted by the video that has been posted,” the official stated.

“The habits of Sgt. Thames doesn’t mirror the values of the first Cavalry Division or the U.S. Military.”

The 29-year-old sergeant surrendered to authorities and was booked into the McLennan County jail late Friday following the surprising incident at an condominium constructing in Waco.

Within the video, the person believed to be Thames is seen selecting up the boy and putting him within the torso not less than 5 occasions with a clenched fist. It was not clear how he knew the kid.

“Are you going to cease taking part in?” the attacker asks as he pulls the crying boy up by the face and walks off with him.

Police have been known as to the condominium advanced round 5:20 p.m. Friday and the kid was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.

He was evaluated by medical personnel and later launched, authorities stated.

Thames’ bond was set at $200,000 for the cost, however he’s being held on a federal detainer, the county jail confirmed.
