Sofia Vergara’s Heartwarming Mini-Reunion
Sofia Vergara, 53, shared delightful selfies capturing a casual reunion with her former Modern Family co-stars Julie Bowen and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. The actress, known for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the beloved ABC series that ran for 11 seasons, posted the images on her Instagram on Friday.
In the photos, Vergara gazes directly at the camera while Bowen and Ferguson beam with cheerful smiles. The group was joined by Ferguson’s husband, Justin Mikita, recognized for his appearance in Taylor Swift’s music video for ‘You Need To Calm Down.’
Vergara opted for a stylish, figure-hugging brown knit dress topped with a brown leather jacket. Her long hair parted in the middle flowed straight past her shoulders. She kept accessories minimal, featuring small earrings and a few rings, allowing her ensemble to shine. Her makeup included mascara on voluminous lashes, smoky eye shadow, light blush for a radiant glow, and a darker nude lip tint.
She later shared a mirror selfie on her Instagram Stories, showcasing her outfit and holding a tan clutch for essentials during the gathering.
Roles and Past Connections
Bowen portrayed Claire Dunphy, and Ferguson played Mitchell Pritchett in Modern Family, which concluded in 2020. This is not their first meetup since the show’s end. In 2023, Vergara hosted Bowen, Ferguson, and Mikita at her mansion. Later that year, she organized a larger reunion including Rico Rodriguez, Ed O’Neill, Nolan Gould, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, and Eric Stonestreet. Ty Burrell was absent but represented by a framed photo.
Last October, Vergara updated on the cast’s bond five years post-finale. ‘We are still like a family,’ she stated. ‘Everything we do, we are connected in a gigantic chat with all the kids and all the actors. And we’re always watching each other, supporting each other.’
The following month, she reflected on the initial separation after filming wrapped. They ‘kind of got separated because we finished, and two weeks later, they closed everything for COVID. We got disconnected really fast.’
Recent Projects and Appearances
Vergara stays active professionally, recently partnering with Octavia Spencer on the Detect the SOS campaign. The initiative promotes awareness of chronic kidney disease through a uACR urine test for those with high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes, helping detect risks for heart attacks or strokes. The ad will debut during Super Bowl LX on February 8.
Spencer emphasized the importance of early detection, saying, ‘Your body could be sending out an SOS if your kidneys are malfunctioning and you wanna answer the call. And while that sounds like it’s scary, the way to detect it is easy.’
Last week, Vergara turned heads at the premiere of Paris Hilton’s documentary Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir. She wore a strapless leather dress that accentuated her toned figure, with her dark hair parted in the middle and styled in light waves. At the event, she mingled with attendees like model and former America’s Got Talent judge Heidi Klum, sharing a photo of them enjoying popcorn side by side in the theater.
