Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing Introduce Baby Ziggy in Heartwarming Family Photos
Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing recently posted endearing family photos featuring their newborn son, Ziggy, offering a preview of their forthcoming Disney+ documentary on parenthood.
The Made in Chelsea alum, aged 37, welcomed his first child last month alongside Sophie. The couple, married since 2023, announced plans for a docuseries last year that captures their path to parenthood, from Sophie’s pregnancy to managing demanding careers.
On Instagram over the weekend, Jamie shared a collection of images titled the ‘Ziggy files.’ One black-and-white photo shows the couple smiling at each other while holding their son. Another captures Sophie gazing lovingly at Ziggy as she holds him on the sofa. Jamie also appears in the kitchen, preparing a meal with Ziggy secured in a carrier against his chest.
Upcoming Disney+ Series Explores New Parenthood Journey
Reflecting on the project last year, Jamie and Sophie stated: ‘For nearly a decade, we’ve brought audiences along the highs and lows of our personal and professional lives through TV, radio, social media and our podcasts. It’s such an honour to now partner with the incredible teams at Disney+ and Dorothy St Pictures to bring our next chapter to viewers across the globe. Navigating our lives with a baby on the way has opened up a whole new stage of our relationship – we can’t wait to give you a front row seat!’
The series, commissioned by Executive Director Sean Doyle, is produced by Dorothy St Pictures in collaboration with Jampot Productions.
Jamie Laing Embraces ‘Dad Bod’ Amid Parenting Humor
Earlier this month, Jamie humorously addressed his changing physique in a lighthearted video with Ziggy. After facing criticism for a post praising Sophie as a ‘superwoman’ shortly after giving birth, he shared a clip joking about missing his pre-baby body.
In the video, Jamie holds his son and captions it: ‘I missed how my body looked before you.’ The scene shifts to Sophie looking unimpressed, with text overlay reading: ‘What you talking about, you’re his Dad, get your a*s to the gym.’ Jamie captioned the post: ‘Dad bod era incoming.’
Backlash Over Postpartum Christmas Post and Jamie’s Response
Jamie drew criticism last month for sharing images of a ‘magical Christmas’ arranged by Sophie just three weeks after Ziggy’s birth. Some viewers labeled the post insensitive, arguing it created unrealistic pressures on new mothers.
Comments included: ‘I normally love your content, but this is an insensitive post and sets an unrealistic expectation/pressure on other new mothers. Not everyone has the money, resources and support to be able to do this.’ Another added: ‘In my opinion this is not normal and a typical IG moment. To me, this is sadly only about people pleasing and not prioritising healing and true connections.’ A third noted: ‘My first Xmas when I was 3 weeks PP I slept most the day.’
Questions arose about potential hired help, such as caterers. In response, Jamie posted a video of himself doing squats while holding Ziggy in the kitchen, writing: ‘First rule since becoming a dad: Accepting that no matter how tired you are, you’re definitely never as tired as your wife.’
Mothers responded positively, with one saying: ‘100% not as tired. Not taking away from your own sleep deprivation but it’s still not as much as her keep doing amazing work.’ Another commented: ‘You learn FAST Jamie! Your marriage will endure the test of time.’ Others affirmed: ‘It’s true though! She’s the one healing from pregnancy + birth at the same time as looking after a baby’; ‘Every woman sending this post to their husbands…’
Announcement of Ziggy’s Birth
Sophie and Jamie shared the news of Ziggy’s arrival on December 4, 2025, via tender hospital photos. One image shows Jamie with his arm around Sophie as she cradles the newborn, while another focuses on Sophie holding their baby alone.
