Groundbreaking Collaborative Performance Stuns Award Show

Rosé of BLACKPINK achieved a historic milestone at the 2026 Grammy Awards through her electrifying performance of ‘APT.’ with collaborator Bruno Mars. The high-energy staging marked the first time a solo K-pop artist has performed at the prestigious ceremony since its inception.

Record-Breaking Single Receives Prominent Stage

The duo delivered a dynamic rendition of their chart-topping collaboration, which previously served as the lead single from Rosé’s debut solo album ‘Rosie’. Industry data confirms the track reached #1 positions in 50 national charts following its 2024 release.

Multiple Major Nominations Mark Industry Recognition

The performance capped a landmark awards season for Rosé, who received nominations in three major categories:

  • Song of the Year
  • Record of the Year
  • Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (shared with Mars)

These nominations represent the first time a K-pop artist has been recognized in the Grammys’ top four competitive categories as a primary performer.

Category Results and Notable Winners

While Rosé didn’t secure trophies, the evening saw significant wins across major categories:

  • Kendrick Lamar and SZA claimed Record of Year for ‘Luther’
  • Billie Eilish won Song of the Year for ‘Wildflower’
  • Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande took Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for ‘Defying Gravity’

BLACKPINK’s Continued Musical Evolution

Industry sources confirm Rosé’s group BLACKPINK will release their third mini-album ‘Deadline’ in the coming months. This follows their 2022 full-length album ‘Born Pink’ and previous EPs ‘Square Up’ (2018) and ‘Kill This Love’ (2019).

The 2026 ceremony featured notable performances from Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Tyler The Creator, Sabrina Carpenter, and Lola Young. Other major winners included Bad Bunny and Olivia Dean, who both made statements supporting immigrant rights during acceptance speeches.
