After extensive investigative efforts failed to locate the suspect, law enforcement officials now believe Rivest may have traveled to Saskatchewan. The Child Abuse and Sexual Assault (CASA) unit leading the investigation urges residents in both Ontario and Saskatchewan to remain vigilant.
Charges and Public Assistance
Rivest faces seven criminal counts including sexual assault, sexual interference, assault, forcible confinement, and three counts of criminal harassment. Officials emphasize the charges stem from incidents involving a young victim.
“We’re appealing to anyone with relevant information to come forward immediately,” investigators stated. Tips can be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers or directly to the specialized CASA investigative unit handling sensitive crimes against children.
