Emma Raducanu prepares to conclude her eight-year sponsorship with Nike and join Uniqlo, as the Japanese clothing brand hints at the partnership through social media teasers.

Nike Deal Background

Raducanu signed with Nike at age 15, years before her 2021 US Open triumph. She has donned their apparel in major tennis events. Recent financial adjustments by Nike in tennis sponsorships have led to reduced support for top players, including Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka, and Jannik Sinner.

Uniqlo Teaser Signals Imminent Announcement

Speculation intensified late last year about Raducanu’s potential move to Uniqlo. The brand recently shared a social media post featuring a female athlete—believed to be the 23-year-old World No. 25—in their newest tennis gear. The caption reads: “We’re proud to welcome a new face to UNIQLO.”

This move positions Raducanu as Uniqlo’s first female tennis endorser, placing her alongside icons like Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Kei Nishikori.

Upcoming Competitions and Commercial Success

Raducanu is expected to debut Uniqlo attire at Indian Wells next week. Despite on-court challenges since her teenage peak, her marketability remains strong. She already partners with Dior, Tiffany & Co., and Evian.

Recent Challenges

Health setbacks have marked recent weeks for the British No. 1, including a chest infection that forced her retirement in the Qatar Open first round and an on-court medical issue during her Dubai loss to Antonia Ruzic. She currently lacks a full-time coach after parting with Francisco Roig following an early Australian Open exit in January.
