Manchester City settled for a 1-1 draw against West Ham on Saturday, dropping further behind in the Premier League title race. Despite controlling much of the match, the team failed to secure a win, leaving them nine points adrift of leaders Arsenal. Attention now shifts to the Champions League second leg against Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, where City must overturn a 3-0 deficit from the first leg to advance to the quarter-finals. Fresh injury concerns add to the challenges.

Latest Injury News from the Etihad

Savinho – Hamstring

The winger exited at halftime during the first-leg loss to Real Madrid due to hamstring discomfort, despite an initial tactical substitution. Deemed unfit for the West Ham trip, he targets a return for Tuesday’s crucial home match.

Potential return: Real Madrid (H)

John Stones – Ankle

The England defender, plagued by injuries this season, recently resumed action but felt ankle discomfort in training. Left out of the West Ham squad as a precaution after starting last week’s FA Cup game at Newcastle, he aims to feature on Tuesday pending Monday’s open training session.

Potential return: Real Madrid (H)

Rico Lewis – Ankle

Rico Lewis remains sidelined with an ankle issue in recent weeks. “Rico still has a little bit of swelling in the ankle,” Pep Guardiola noted before the West Ham fixture. Full recovery is not yet complete.

Potential return: March

Josko Gvardiol – Leg

Gvardiol continues his long-term absence after fracturing his leg in January’s draw with Chelsea. He races to return before the season ends and ahead of this summer’s World Cup.

Potential return: May/June

Jayden Alleyne – Knock

Alleyne has been unavailable since the FA Cup win over Salford, where he sustained a knock. He rejoined first-team training ahead of the Real Madrid first leg.

Potential return: March

Mateo Kovacic – Ankle

Kovacic endured a frustrating ankle injury since October but has resumed training and was named among the substitutes for the West Ham draw.
