Dominant Performance in the Final
Just three weeks after defeating Canada in the Olympic finals, the Americans struck again. Jack Wallace led the charge with a hat-trick, powering the US to their fifth consecutive Paralympic title. Captain Josh Pauls also claimed his fifth straight gold.
Para ice hockey operates as an open-gender sport, with no separate women’s division at the Paralympics. In contrast to the Olympics—where the US men’s team captured gold for the first time since the 1980 Miracle on Ice—the Americans dominate the Paralympics, winning six of the last seven Winter Paralympic editions.
Canada suffered their third consecutive final defeat. Their sole para ice hockey gold came on Italian soil in Turin 2006.
Bronze Medal Thriller
China earned their second straight bronze medal, staging a comeback from an early 2-0 deficit to edge the Czech Republic 3-2. The Chinese team conceded two goals in the opening three minutes but rallied to secure the win.

Sunday’s final drew a record 10,755 spectators, filling the stands near capacity and surpassing the previous mark of 8,992 set during the US versus host nation Italy preliminary game.
