Supermodel Patti Hansen celebrates her 70th birthday with warm tributes from her family, highlighting her enduring legacy in fashion and personal life.
Keith Richards Shares Loving Throwback Moments
Keith Richards, Patti’s husband of 42 years and Rolling Stones guitarist, posts nostalgic photos of the couple on Instagram. “Happy birthday, Patricia. Yours forever!! All my love, Keith,” writes the 82-year-old rock legend in the caption.
Daughter Alexandra’s Touching Celebration
Their daughter Alexandra joins the festivities, sharing a video montage of Patti’s iconic Vogue covers alongside family photos and clips. “Happy Happy 70th Birthday to our lucky charm today! We love you so much, can’t wait to celebrate you!” she captions the post. Keith comments, “Hot in every decade.”
A Timeless Love Story
Patti and Keith meet in 1979 at Studio 54 when she is 23 and he nears 36. They marry in 1983 and raise daughters Theodora, 40, and Alexandra, 39. Their bond stands strong amid industry challenges. “Any marriage, Rolling Stone or not, there’s definitely going to be some rocky mountains there,” Patti shares. “We have had our trials; that’s for sure. But on the whole, it’s great. We both have the same morals and background. We both come from working-class families. I think we are very similar in many ways.”
From Runways to Resilience
Patti builds a stellar modeling career before transitioning to film, appearing with Audrey Hepburn and Rick Springfield. In the mid-2000s, she overcomes breast cancer in 2005 and bladder cancer in 2007 through chemotherapy. “The chemo is really horrible,” she recalls. “I don’t know how people get through it. I have friends who are on that wicked stuff for life. It’s so debilitating, so depressing. The first shot just totally ruined my arm.”
Despite the ordeal, treatment succeeds: “You have to go get yourself plugged in every week, and you sit there, and you think, ‘My God, I take such good care of myself. I’m so organic. I can’t believe I’m putting this poison in me.’ But it shrank the tumor.”
Embracing Health and Wellness at 70
Today, Patti prioritizes her well-being, drawing skincare tips from her daughters. “After years of being in this business, you’re so aware of every little thing, every line, every mole. I try to keep a healthy focus,” she states in an interview with Ivan Shaw. “Every morning I look in the mirror and say, ‘Oh, you could lift up here.'”
“At 60, I finally decided to take really good care of myself,” she adds. “I’ve done Fraxel [laser treatments] for all the sun damage. My daughters are in their 30s, and they do facials and have all the creams. I never did any of that. Now I do. Now I’m learning from them.”
