Lisa Kudrow stepped out for a rare family appearance alongside her husband of 30 years, advertising executive Michael Stern, and their son Julian at the season 3 premiere of The Comeback in Beverly Hills on Thursday.
Spotlight at the Premiere
The event took place at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, where the 62-year-old Emmy winner commanded attention on the purple carpet. Her husband, 67, and son stood supportively to the side as Kudrow reveled in the moment.
Kudrow recently shared her gratitude for meeting Stern just before her Friends fame: “I feel like the luckiest thing that happened to me was that I met and fell in love with the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with before Friends, right before.”
Final Season of The Comeback
The eight-episode third and final season of the satirical sitcom premieres this Sunday on HBO Max. Kudrow reprises her role as former A-list celebrity Valerie Cherish.
As co-creator, Kudrow cast her 27-year-old son Julian as an AI tech expert who helps Cherish star in the first multi-cam sitcom written by AI, inspired by the 2023 Hollywood strikes.
“He’s got talents I don’t have,” Kudrow said, recalling a pivotal moment: “My husband and I were boo-hoo-hooing at Julian’s monologue in his high school play The Laramie Project, and I went, ‘Okay, he’s got something.'”
The USC graduate arrived in a blue suit without a necktie, accompanied by his girlfriend, Twitch streamer Teagan Wells.
Style and Co-Stars
Kudrow mixed patterns in a dotted blouse under a black blazer, paired with a belted patchwork maxi-skirt and black Mary Jane flats, styled by Penny Lovell. Makeup artist Brett Freedman crafted her signature look with defined brows, lined eyes, and a nude lip.
She posed with co-creator Michael Patrick King, dressed in a double-breasted gray blazer, slim black trousers, and matching shoes. The 71-year-old showrunner appeared with executive producer John P. Melfi, also known for HBO Max’s And Just Like That…, which ended last August.
The group included Dan Bucatinsky, who plays Billy Stanton on the show and serves as executive producer.
