Peel Regional Police seized a loaded illegal handgun during a traffic stop under the Cannabis Act in Mississauga, Ontario, last week.
Details of the Stop
Officers stopped a vehicle around 8:30 p.m. on March 15 near Derry Road East and Goreway Drive. During the investigation, they discovered the loaded handgun inside the car.
Arrests and Charges
Two occupants faced arrest: a 21-year-old man from Brampton and a 20-year-old woman from Mississauga. Both individuals now face multiple charges, including carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.
