Ferne McCann, the 35-year-old former TOWIE star, highlighted her impressive body transformation in a striking before-and-after Instagram video shared on Saturday. The footage contrasts her post-pregnancy figure in a string bikini shortly after welcoming daughter Finty, now two, with her current slimmed-down, toned look in a tiny blue bikini.
Key to Her Sustainable Transformation
McCann attributes her two-stone weight loss to simple, non-extreme habits rather than drastic diets. She focuses on maintaining a calorie deficit, meeting daily protein goals, consuming 2-3 liters of water, incorporating daily movement, and leveraging accountability from like-minded women.
“The things that actually changed my body shape and helped me lose weight… It wasn’t anything drastic,” McCann explained. “It was: Following a simple nutrition plan. Sticking to my breakfast meal replacement shake (high nutrition, low calories). Drinking 2–3L of water a day. Staying in a calorie deficit. Hitting my protein target. Daily movement. Accountability (this is a big one!!! being surrounded by women doing the same as you). Nothing extreme. Nothing restrictive. Just consistency with the basics… and that’s where the results come from.”
Rejecting Traditional Diets
McCann shed 2.5 stone last year through nutrition changes and high-intensity interval training, sustaining her progress over the past year. She rejects restrictive dieting, advocating sustainable habits instead.
“I don’t believe in cutting out foods or being on a ‘diet’. They don’t work!” she declared. “Consistency, stacking daily healthy habits and my breakfast plan is exactly how I lost my weight… SUSTAINABLY.”
She reports increased energy, a faster metabolism, and significant body fat reduction from these changes.
Sample High-Protein Daily Meals
McCann shared a typical day’s eating in January, emphasizing high-protein, flavorful choices:
- Breakfast: Protein meal-replacement smoothie with creatine and a multivitamin.
- Mid-morning snack: Sour cream and chive protein chips with spicy cottage cheese dip.
- Lunch: Sardines on sourdough toast, topped with cherry tomatoes and fresh coriander.
- Dinner: Bun-less burger with high-protein sauce, wrapped in courgette and carrot ribbons.
- Dessert: Greek yogurt with blueberries and a chopped chocolate-almond protein bar.
Maintaining Results Long-Term
In an October 2025 update, McCann noted sustaining fat loss and toning over seven years, including after two pregnancies and SAS training, without boredom or restrictions. Regular eating and snacking support her metabolism, energy, and mood.
