Intense Training Routine Fuels NRL Star’s Physique
Braith Anasta maintains his status as one of Australia’s fittest 44-year-olds through a demanding regimen of early morning workouts and disciplined conditioning. The former NRL premiership winner trains with strength coach Sean McInroy, following high-intensity sessions that combine functional strength exercises with relentless cardio.
Full-Body Circuits Push Limits
Central to Anasta’s program is a full-body circuit that targets strength and endurance. Typical workouts feature heavy deadball carries, dumbbell push presses, renegade rows, and reverse lunges at high repetitions. He transitions seamlessly between these moves with minimal rest, incorporating intense cardio on the ski erg and rowing machine to keep his heart rate elevated. This professional-level training mimics rugby league pre-season demands.
Running Builds Endurance Base
Anasta incorporates regular running sessions, logging 5 to 10 kilometer runs several times a week alongside McInroy. These efforts enhance his conditioning, complementing gym work for comprehensive hybrid training that develops power, strength, and stamina simultaneously.
Balancing Demands with Discipline
Despite juggling three jobs and raising two young daughters, Anasta starts his days at 4:30 a.m. for sessions lasting up to two hours. “Working three jobs and having two young girls, it would be easy to make excuses,” Anasta says. “Most days I was exhausted, but that’s what is most satisfying—pushing through. I’m proud of the hard work, balance, and sacrifices.”
Diet and Supplements Drive Results
Anasta follows a high-protein, low-carb diet, eliminating junk food to reduce body fat while preserving muscle. He credits a daily supplement for amplifying his progress. “Taking Calmerceuticals every morning first thing has been the game changer,” he states.
Mental and Physical Transformation
Recent displays reveal a leaner frame, defined chest, and superior conditioning. Anasta emphasizes the mental benefits: “I started feeling average both physically and mentally.” Through consistent structure and McInroy’s guidance, he has reset his routine. “It’s never too late and you’ve always got time,” Anasta tells followers. “Your next move matters more than your last mistake.”
