Glamorous Transformation at Passover Celebration
Amy Tapper, the 26-year-old Gogglebox star, recently showcased a striking makeover following her remarkable 8-stone weight loss achieved through Mounjaro and consistent exercise. She dropped from a size 26 to a size 18 and shared a radiant selfie while hosting a traditional Passover meal.
Amy styled her hair in loose curls, complemented by blusher and berry lipstick. She also posted a group photo with friends, captioning it: ‘My besties at my Seder.’
Weight Loss Journey and Medication
Amy joined Gogglebox at age 13 alongside her mother Nikki, 51, father Jonathan, 56, and brother Josh, 26. Doctors prescribed Mounjaro just as she considered gastric bypass surgery.
Despite her achievements, significant weight loss resulted in loose skin. Amy explained: ‘Unfortunately and inevitably, when you’ve lost as much weight as eight stone, and there’s gonna be more, there’s a lot of skin that is just not gonna disappear with exercise. It’s not possible, you know? It’s stones and stones of fat and it’s now just skin.’
She added that her arms and tummy require surgery, though her legs are improving. Jokingly, she noted: ‘These little side bad boys are really toning up.’
Exercise Routine and Troll Backlash
Amy maintains a five-year partnership with her personal trainer and enjoys gym sessions for mental health benefits. She pairs this with Mounjaro, taking a 15mg weekly dose since February, starting from 2.5mg. At peak, she lost 5lbs in one week and 4st in six months.
She emphasized: ‘I’m still eating less and moving more, but I’m doing it hand-in-hand with the weight loss medication and it’s working as the most perfect pair.’
Facing trolls accusing her of ‘cheating,’ Amy shares her progress online, inspiring fans despite mental health challenges from scrutiny.
Anti-Bullying Campaign
On Good Morning Britain, Amy shared emotionally: ‘I do think of myself as strong minded and whatever they say to me I can say a lot worse about myself. But of course it affects you. No one is super human.’
She continued: ‘The online trolls come in and it sort of affects your peacefulness in your head. This eat less move more, it’s put there as some sort of an insult. But if you’re doing that with the weight loss medication side by side, it’s the most perfect pair so I don’t know why it’s bothering anyone.’
