Alexa Melton, former girlfriend of AC Milan and USMNT star Christian Pulisic, has retracted her accusations of infidelity following their breakup.
Melton initially confirmed the split in comments on her Instagram post, alleging Pulisic set up a profile on the dating app Raya before their relationship ended. She threatened to share the profile online.
On Thursday, Melton clarified the situation via her Instagram story. “I’ve made some comments on a private matter and it’s been taken out of context,” she wrote. “I received false info. He is not a cheater. Any narrative beyond that is not mine. Out of respect for Christian’s and my privacy, I will not speak further regarding this matter.”
Relationship Background
Pulisic and Melton featured together in a 2025 Paramount+ documentary, detailing their meeting. Pulisic explained: “I slid in the DMs as they call it.”
Melton recalled: “I got the DM and I was like ‘who is this dude with 8m followers and why is he DMing me?’ And then I scrolled through his Instagram and I was like ‘Oh he’s a big time soccer player’.”
Pulisic called her “a really special girl,” crediting shifts in his mentality and faith for bringing them together.
World Cup Focus Amid Form Slump
Pulisic now prioritizes the upcoming World Cup, aiming to lead the USMNT to success on home soil. Melton recently posted glamorous photos from a golf outing.
Challenges persist on the field, with no international goals since November 2024 and zero scores in 12 AC Milan appearances.
Previous Dating Rumors Dismissed
December reports suggested a romance with actress Sydney Sweeney. Pulisic refuted them on Instagram Story: “Please stop with the made up stories about my personal life. Need to hold sources accountable it can affect people’s lives.”
He added to another post: “Fake news guys let’s stop with the silly rumor.”
