Chris Robinson, the 38-year-old gym owner featured on Married At First Sight, displays a striking physical overhaul following his split from Sam Stanton on the Nine series. Expectant father of two, he highlights his chiseled physique in a fresh photoshoot on his New South Wales farm.
Showcasing the New Look
Chris flexes his defined abs and pectorals amid the rural setting, offering glimpses into his toned, tanned frame and farm lifestyle. Tattoos cover his body as he poses in blue jeans. In another shot, he wears a cowboy hat, dips into a stream in black underwear, and emerges refreshed.
Additional images capture him stepping from his red truck and guiding a horse across the property, embodying his post-show confidence.
Amicable Post-Split Exchange
Chris shares details of a text exchange with Sam after their final Commitment Ceremony. The pair, who parted during Homestays amid accusations of lacking effort, now maintain a civil friendship.
“After our final episode on the Commitment Ceremony, we kind of both sent each other a text,” Chris stated. “[It said], ‘What a ride that was. Thank you so much for coming on the journey with me, and take care and all the best.’ So we are very amicable, which is great.”
Behind-the-Scenes Relationship Struggles
The couple’s on-screen stability masked deeper issues like poor communication, defensiveness, and emotional distance. Problems simmered from the start, despite early harmony.
Sam describes reviewing the series as “frustrating and confronting,” particularly unseen footage where Chris commented on his finances and living arrangements—claims Sam denies. “I never once used a coupon… I actually spent more money than him. I lived with my best friend—not in a share house like he made it out,” Sam said.
Chris addresses the remark as “just a silly, b***hy comment” made in the heat of the moment. Sam felt frequently interrupted, noting, “I felt like I was being spoken over quite a lot. If you look back at our first commitment ceremony, he talks the whole time.”
Early attempts to address this led to escalation. “The first time I tried to speak up, it just blew up. He couldn’t see my side because he was so worried about protecting his image,” Sam recalled. Chris admits confrontation triggers defensiveness: “I don’t like that type of confrontation… it makes me get really defensive.”
Climax at Dinner Party
Tensions peaked at a dinner party when issues surfaced publicly. Chris calls it “awful” and believed a private apology sufficed: “I did apologise in the apartments and thought we could move forward.” Sam sought deeper resolution to feel heard.
Chris attributes struggles to external pressures: “I had so much going on… the pressure was building up. I wasn’t communicating great and I wasn’t the best version of myself.” He regrets certain responses and focuses on personal growth.
