Bingham ‘Bing’ Bellamy, the 14-year-old son of actress Kate Hudson and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, stepped out for a rare public appearance to support his mother at the Los Angeles premiere of Running Point season two.
Red Carpet Moment
The teen, who turns 15 in July, stood nearly as tall as Hudson while posing for photos on Wednesday. Hudson stars as the president of a Los Angeles basketball team in the Netflix dramedy. She arrived with her fiancé, musician Danny Fujikawa, 39.
Bing sported a cool California vibe in a white shirt and dark slacks. Hudson dazzled in a glamorous white asymmetrical draped dress featuring a crescent-shaped collar.
Musical Talent and Business Savvy
Born in California, Bing showcases impressive musical skills on the drums, making his parents proud. He also displays sharp business acumen, developing an early interest in the stock market as a preteen. Hudson once joked that he would handle her portfolio by age 12.
Blended Family Life
Hudson shares Bing with her former fiancé Matt Bellamy. She also has son Ryder, 22, with ex-husband Chris Robinson, and daughter Rani Rose, 7, with Fujikawa. The family enjoys sun-soaked vacations together, as shared in social media photos.
Bing closely resembles his father, a likeness Hudson has often noted. He proudly serves as a big brother to Rani Rose.
Hudson celebrated her ‘patchwork family’ in a 2022 interview with The Sunday Times, stating, ‘It might not look traditional from the outside, but on the inside, I feel like we’re killing it. The unit that I’ve created with three children with three different fathers is a seriously strong unit, and it’s ours.’
Pride Across Generations
Last month, Ryder accompanied Hudson to the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscars party following her second nomination for Song Sung Blue. On the red carpet, Ryder told Entertainment Tonight, ‘I’ve never been more proud of my mother. I have to say, I’ve seen my mom close up more than anybody… put in more work and more dedication and more time than I’ve ever seen in my life. And it’s just such a beautiful thing.’
Hudson advises her children to embrace life fully. In an interview with E! News, she said, ‘Make tons of mistakes and have fun and be rebellious. Don’t let anybody tell you how to do your thing, you know? Be good people – that’s all I care about, and have real self-possession. I want them to be happy – internally happy – and actually live just a good, like, content life.’
Hudson herself grew up in a blended family with mother Goldie Hawn, her longtime partner Kurt Russell—whom she calls ‘Pa’—and biological father Bill Hudson. She once quipped on Sunday Today with Willie Geist in 2021, ‘I’ve got multiple dads, I’ve got kids all over the place.’
