Supermodel Christy Turlington, 57, sports a noticeable silver streak in her hair during a casual stroll with her two black-and-white dogs in New York City. The iconic Vogue cover star appears makeup-free, opting for a relaxed look with a blue denim jacket, white slacks, and sunglasses perched on her head.

Commitment to Natural Aging

Turlington, married to filmmaker Ed Burns, champions aging gracefully without plastic surgery or injections. She continues to thrive professionally as a Global Ambassador for Lancôme Paris.

Daily Skincare Routine

Turlington maintains radiant skin through a straightforward regimen: washing her face each morning, moisturizing multiple times daily, prioritizing sleep, and staying active with runs or exercise.

“I mean, it’s pretty simple. I wash my face in the morning and moisturize a lot,” she shared. “Sometimes I’ll even double moisturize, because especially at this time of year, I get dry skin. And then, I’ll add a nice little layer of foundation, some blush, and mascara, and that’s kind of it, I’m on my way.”

“A good night’s sleep or a run or something where I’m moving my body [helps]. Also, again, a bit of moisturizer in the morning wakes me up, makes me feel a little bit fresher, and a little bit goes a long way,” the star added.

Favorite Beauty Products

Her go-to items include Lancôme’s Rénergie moisturizer and Teint Idôle foundation. “I love consistency, and I love reliability, and Rénergie is the best cream moisturizer situation going,” Turlington said. “I feel like that’s a constant and a consistent for me. I love skincare so much, and I love other products too, but I start with the skin. I love a good foundation, but one that has a nice texture and provides a good amount of coverage, but you still look like you.”

“I feel like the Teint Idôle foundation is really awesome for that,” she noted.

Positive Outlook on Aging

Turlington expresses contentment with her aging process. “I’m mostly happy with the way that I’ve aged. I can see my mom in myself and myself in my mom, which is nice, because my mom is 86 and she still looks good,” she stated. “So I feel like: ‘Okay, that’s reassuring, if I take care of myself, I should be okay.’ It’s kind of fun to see how you change, change is good.”

She emphasizes embracing every stage of life: “I think it’s important to embrace every age, right? The alternative is not that exciting, so staying optimistic and trying your best to be your best self at any time in your life is a good way to live.”

Activism and Legacy

Beyond modeling, Turlington founded Every Mother Counts, a nonprofit focused on improving maternal health and reducing mortality rates. She skyrocketed to fame in the late 1980s and 1990s, fronting campaigns for Calvin Klein and Maybelline while gracing over 500 magazine covers.
