Kylie Jenner captivated attendees at the 2026 Met Gala with one of her most daring outfits yet. The 28-year-old reality star donned a flesh-toned dress featuring apparent fake nipple imprints, accentuating her strikingly slim waist and leaving little to the imagination.
Kylie’s Edgy Red Carpet Ensemble
Jenner elevated the provocative look by appearing to bleach her eyebrows, strutting confidently down the iconic New York City red carpet. Her boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, did not join her for the high-profile event.
The outfit centered on a flesh-colored bodysuit that highlighted her cleavage, possibly drawing inspiration from her sister Kim Kardashian’s Skims line. Cinched at the back like a corset, the bodysuit paired with an elegant cream-colored satin gown bunched at the hips. Delicate pale pink and lavender beads and embroidery adorned the flowing skirt.
Met Gala 2026: Theme and Leadership
Held on the first Monday in May at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Benefit, this year’s Met Gala embraced the theme ‘Costume Art’ with a ‘Fashion Is Art’ dress code. Celebrities interpreted the human body as a blank canvas for design innovation.
Co-chairs Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams led the event alongside Vogue’s global editorial director Anna Wintour. Williams co-chaired for the first time, while Kidman previously helmed in 2003 and 2005, and Beyoncé served as honorary chair in 2013.
Exhibition Highlights and Sponsors
The accompanying exhibition pairs historical and contemporary garments, categorized by the classical and nude body, aging and pregnant bodies, and the anatomical body. It opens in the Met’s new Condé Nast Galleries, funded by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sánchez as lead sponsors and honorary co-chairs. French luxury house Yves Saint Laurent also supports the display.
“The title ‘Costume Art’ refers to the history of the Costume Institute,” stated Andrew Bolton, the institute’s curator, at a press conference. “Fashion has the status of art because of, and not in spite of, its relation to the body.”
The exhibition runs from May 10, 2026, through January 10, 2027, providing key funding for the Costume Institute.
Host Committee and Wintour’s Legacy
The host committee features co-chairs Anthony Vaccarello and Zoë Kravitz, plus Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Angela Bassett, Gwendoline Christie, Misty Copeland, Elizabeth Debicki, Lena Dunham, Sam Smith, Teyana Taylor, and others.
This gala marks a transition following Anna Wintour’s departure as American Vogue editor-in-chief in June 2025 after 37 years. She appointed Chloe Malle as the new head of editorial content while retaining her global roles. Wintour’s hands-on approach transformed the event into fashion’s premier spectacle.
Last year’s theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, saw lower attendance amid its focus on Black dandyism.
