A judge has unsealed an alleged suicide note penned by Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender, marking its first public release years after his 2019 death.
Contents of the Note
The note, discovered following Epstein’s failed suicide attempt in July 2019, states: “They investigated me for months — FOUND NOTHING!!! It is a treat to be able to choose one’s time to say goodbye. Watcha want me to do — Bust out cryin!!” It ends with the underlined words “NO FUN,” followed by “NOT WORTH IT!!”
Discovery and Epstein’s Death
Epstein’s cellmate, Nicholas Tartaglione, discovered the note after the initial attempt. The following month, Epstein died by suicide in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City at age 66.
The note emerged as part of Tartaglione’s criminal case and became public on Wednesday through a court order.
