Saturday Night Live UK gears up for its second season after a successful debut on Sky and Now in March. The live comedy series wraps up season 1 with its finale next week, with season 2 slated for sometime between autumn 2026 and early 2027.
The show features a powerhouse roster of hosts, including Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, and Nicola Coughlan. Musical guests deliver high-energy performances from acts like Wolf Alice, Kasabian, and Foo Fighters. Under the guidance of Lorne Michaels, the original SNL creator, the program broadcasts weekly before a live audience. Production comes from UTAS UK and Broadway Video for Sky and Now.
Final Episodes of Season 1
Two episodes remain in the first season. Hannah Waddingham hosts this Saturday, May 9, with musical guest Myles Smith. Ncuti Gatwa takes the stage for the May 16 finale, joined by Holly Humberstone.
Filming at Television Centre
SNL UK films at the historic Television Centre in West London’s White City. This former BBC headquarters, operational from 1960 to 2013, now welcomes various broadcasters as BBC Studioworks Television Centre. The production occupies TC1, a versatile studio shared with hits like The Graham Norton Show, Mock the Week, The Chase, and The Last Leg.
A dedicated team of 20 writers occupies office spaces at the centre, crafting sketches throughout the week for the weekend live broadcasts. The writing lineup features Hammed Animashaun, Ania Magliano, Emma Sidi, Celeste Dring, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, George Fouracres, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, and Paddy Young.
