Hewitt Family Lists Sprawling Sydney Estate for $14 Million
Tennis legend Lleyton Hewitt and his wife, former actress Bec Hewitt, have placed their expansive Sydney property on the market with an ambitious price tag of $14 million. The couple, who purchased the Glenhaven estate in the Hills District just three years ago, are reportedly anticipating a significant return on their investment.
The luxurious residence, located on approximately two hectares of land, features six bedrooms and four bathrooms. It boasts a championship-sized tennis court, a resort-style swimming pool, and numerous high-end amenities designed for comfortable and sophisticated living.
Property History and Enhancements
Records indicate that the Hewitts acquired the property in 2023 for $10.3 million. The estate was previously owned by former Parramatta Eels player Nathan Hindmarsh and his wife Bonnie, an interior designer. Under Bonnie’s stewardship, the original red-brick home was transformed into a stylish coastal barn-style retreat.
Since taking possession, the Hewitts have further enhanced the property. The grounds have undergone extensive landscaping, and the tennis court has been professionally resurfaced by the same company that prepares courts for the Australian Open.
A Glimpse Inside the Estate
The single-level home is accessed through secure electric gates and offers a lifestyle of opulence. Soaring vaulted ceilings and expansive open-plan living areas create a sense of grandeur. The heart of the home is a designer kitchen featuring a large stone island bench, a breakfast bar, and a butler’s pantry.
Additional features include a dedicated wine cellar, multiple zones for indoor and outdoor entertaining, a private gym, a guest cottage, and a mudroom. The exterior of the estate is designed to resemble a private resort, complete with a sparkling pool, two paddocks, and a large barn equipped with a removable sprung dance floor.
Hewitts’ Real Estate Journey
This listing represents another significant move in the high-profile couple’s established real estate portfolio. After relocating from Sydney in 2016, they resided in Melbourne’s Toorak, where they purchased and later sold a mansion for a considerable profit. Their return to Sydney led them to acquire the Glenhaven estate, which has served as their family’s base.
Lleyton and Bec Hewitt have been married since 2005 and are parents to daughters Mia (20) and Ava (15), and son Cruz (17). Their property ventures have also included homes on the Gold Coast and a weekend getaway in Palm Beach. Their journey together began when they met at a charity tennis match in 1999, eventually reconnecting and marrying in 2005. Following their wedding, they lived in a villa in the Bahamas before returning to Australia permanently in 2016.
