Sanchita Ugale, a popular actress known for her role in the television serial Kumkum Bhagya, has tragically died by suicide at the age of 22. The incident occurred on the evening of June 14 at her residence in Nalasopara, India.
Authorities were alerted to the situation, and emergency services were dispatched. Ugale was transported to Vasai-Virar Municipal Hospital, where medical professionals pronounced her deceased upon arrival. Loved ones have ed profound sadness and shock following Ugale’s death. Geetanjali, a close friend, revealed that the actress had been vocal about her struggles for some time. “If a person says so many times that they will die by suicide, then it was not sudden,” Geetanjali stated. “For six months she had been saying that she wanted to die, that she did not want to live.”
Geetanjali further disclosed that Ugale had been battling depression since early 2026. “She was depressed, of course. I think this began in January,” she added.

Just hours before her death, Ugale shared a final post on social media, uploading a video of herself singing the song “Dafli Wale.” The post has since drawn numerous comments from fans and followers, many of whom ed disbelief and sorrow.
