Lauren Huntriss, a familiar face from season six of Married At First Sight Australia, has joyfully welcomed a baby girl with her fiancé, Wade Burns. The couple announced the arrival of their daughter, Eden Rose Burns, on Monday, sharing the happy news via Instagram with a series of heartwarming photos.
A New Arrival Amidst Challenges
Eden Rose Burns was born on August 13, 2026, at 11:46 PM, arriving via emergency caesarean section and weighing 3 kilograms (approximately 6.6 pounds). Huntriss expressed profound gratitude for her daughter’s healthy arrival, stating, “We’re beyond grateful that she is here, healthy and perfect.” The accompanying images showcased the newborn sleeping peacefully in a bassinet, as well as tender moments of the proud parents kissing their baby and Huntriss holding Eden close.
However, the journey to Eden’s birth was not without its difficulties. Huntriss candidly shared that the circumstances surrounding the birth were “pretty shit,” explaining that her fiancé Wade and her two-year-old son, Henry, were unwell at the time. This meant they had to maintain distance to avoid exposing the newborn to illness.
Family Separation and Emotional Reunion
The necessity for separation during the initial hospital stay proved to be an emotional challenge for the family. “They only had very brief visit with us in hospital and had to spend the rest of the time recovering at home, which made those first few days incredibly emotional,” Huntriss revealed. Despite the difficult start, the family has now been reunited, bringing immense joy. “We are just so happy to finally be reunited and back home together as a family again,” she added.
Public Reception and Well Wishes
News of Eden’s arrival was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from followers and fans. Many expressed their happiness that the baby was safe and healthy. Comments included sentiments like, “Congratulations, she’s perfect and like you say here safe so that’s all that matters now,” and “I have been checking the gram for an update, yay she’s here safe and healthy, congratulations to you and fam on baby Eden x hope you’re recovering well.” Others simply welcomed the new addition, with one follower writing, “Welcome to the world, beautiful.”
