Iranian-American actress Jewell Farshad has come forward with allegations of inappropriate and disturbing messages from Iranian football star Ramin Rezaeian. Farshad, known for her role as Penelope in the third season of the popular series Euphoria and with over a million Instagram followers, claims Rezaeian initiated contact during the recent World Cup. What began as seemingly friendly exchanges quickly escalated, according to Farshad, into demands for explicit content and propositions for group sexual encounters.

Allegations of Disturbing Messages

Farshad recounted her experience exclusively, detailing how Rezaeian’s messages shifted from casual conversation to sexually explicit requests. She stated that the footballer initially inquired about her location and physical appearance, which she initially dismissed as simple flirting. However, the tone soon changed dramatically.

“One day, I received a message from Ramin saying, ‘Where do you live? You’re so sexy?'” Farshad explained. “I didn’t think much of it because, in the beginning, I just thought our conversation was simply about the Iranian team. So when he started flirting with me, I just thought, ‘Okay, that is a nice compliment’.”

The situation took a more alarming turn, Farshad alleges, when Rezaeian’s messages became increasingly graphic. “Instead of cute, flirty messages like, ‘Yeah, that would be nice, to see each other and talk,’ it turned into: ‘Do you like having sex with girls? Have you been with girls? And can you send me a video of you playing with yourself?'” she stated. “It just went from zero to 100.”

Farshad claims she ceased responding to halt the uncomfortable conversation, but Rezaeian allegedly continued to message her persistently, including late at night, inquiring about her sexual history and interest in orgies. She reportedly rebuffed these advances, expressing concern about her public image as an actress and model.

Concerns Over ‘Epstein-esque’ Situation and Trafficking

The actress further described feeling pressured by Rezaeian’s persistent messages. Her discomfort intensified when she researched Rezaeian and reportedly found past allegations of inappropriate behavior. The situation escalated when Rezaeian allegedly began discussing bringing other women into their interactions and suggested a trip where multiple women would be present.

Farshad described this alleged scenario as “Epstein-esque,” drawing a parallel to the notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. She expressed concern that the situation could involve elements of sex trafficking, particularly when Rezaeian allegedly asked if she would be willing to bring other girls to meet him.

“I was like: ‘Oh, so you want me to basically initiate bringing other girls, and there’s also going to be other girls there.’ It was very Epstein-esque,” she stated. She also noted Rezaeian’s association with Sasha Sobhani, the son of a prominent IRGC official, who was reportedly traveling with the footballer. Photos of Rezaeian and Sobhani together, including on a private plane and in Saint-Tropez, surfaced, with Sobhani allegedly posting about parties in locations matching those seen on Rezaeian’s private account.

Contrasting Public Image and Private Behavior

Farshad characterized Ramin Rezaeian as the Islamic Republic’s “golden boy,” a public figure whose image she felt was in stark contrast to the private behavior she encountered. She pointed to Rezaeian’s public appearances at pro-regime rallies and his televised expressions of grief following the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, where he referred to himself as a “soldier for Iran on the national team.” This public persona, she argued, did not align with the alleged private messages.

As someone born in Iran who lived there until age 18, Farshad shared her personal experiences with the regime’s strictures, including being detained for minor infractions. The contrast between the regime’s public image and Rezaeian’s alleged private conduct prompted her to speak out.

Backlash and Support from Other Women

Following her public account of the alleged harassment, Farshad reported facing significant backlash. She claimed that a Telegram channel was created targeting her, with accusations of being a Mossad agent and threats. She also stated that she received abusive messages from both men and women, some suggesting she should have complied with Rezaeian’s demands or even taken her own life.

However, amid the negative response, Farshad stated that several other women came forward, claiming to have received similar messages from Rezaeian, including requests for explicit photographs. This, she believes, underscores a broader issue.

Critique of the Islamic Republic

Farshad connected her experience with Rezaeian to her broader critique of the Islamic Republic. “It’s the core of what the Islamic Republic is,” she asserted. “They pretend that they’re gods and prophets, that they don’t have Jeffrey Epsteins, or Diddys, that they are above it all… But then, in private, they do worse things than them.”

She suggested that the regime’s disconnect from freedom leads to a misunderstanding of women who exercise their autonomy. “They don’t understand freedom. So when they see a free woman, they’re like, ‘Oh, she’s okay with the stuff that I see in porn’.”

Farshad questioned the disparity in treatment, asking, “Why should a woman get killed, like Mahsa Amini, for showing her hair, and then Ramin is protected by the regime to behave however he wants? Because he’s their golden boy. He’s their player and represents them in media. Why is the standard different for him?”

According to Farshad, Rezaeian has not denied sending the messages and appears unashamed, believing his actions were within acceptable limits. Ramin Rezaeian has been contacted for comment regarding these allegations.
