Despite his reservations about the execution, Stefanovic indicated that he would still be willing to feature Tommy Robinson on a platform, citing the activist’s engagement with issues he deems important. “I would definitely do him, because I think the calls that he’s made on these terrible rape gangs over there, I think it’s a worthy discussion point,” Stefanovic explained. He also pointed to Robinson’s significant influence within certain segments of the UK population, noting his ability to mobilize large numbers of people.
Stefanovic elaborated on Robinson’s appeal, suggesting that the activist represents a segment of the population in the UK who feel unheard. “His positioning over there with the right, and with people who don’t have a voice in the UK that he represents,” Stefanovic said. He highlighted Robinson’s capacity to draw large crowds, estimating that he could mobilize between 500,000 and 1,000,000 people with a single call to action. Stefanovic expressed interest in understanding how Robinson intends to leverage this influence, particularly concerning electoral outcomes: “He can get 500,000 to 1,000,000 people into the street now with one phone call. I think that deserves more explanation in so far as what is he gonna tell those people to do in the next election? How is he gonna influence the cycle?”
Koch, who previously hosted Seven’s “Sunrise,” challenged Stefanovic’s perspective, suggesting that Robinson is prone to fabricating information. Stefanovic responded by emphasizing the value of open discourse, even on contentious topics. “We can debate that on my podcast… everyone can have their opinion about it and that’s great, that’s why I do it,” he stated. He acknowledged the criticism he received, indicating a willingness to learn from it. “I’ll take some of the criticism on board. I’ll adapt and adopt it and move forward, but I will keep doing it because I love it, and I do think there’s a huge audience out there for it,” Stefanovic added.

When questioned about a potential return to breakfast television, Stefanovic was definitive in his response. “No, not now,” he stated clearly. He expressed enthusiasm for the evolving media landscape, particularly the opportunities presented by digital platforms and podcasting.
Stefanovic outlined his current media activities, which involve extensive podcasting from home. “I think that this digital world is so exciting. I’ve got a camera at home. I can do six or seven hours of podcasting between 10 am and 1 pm. Then the next day for an hour, and then next day do some (video) links, and then I can travel to the country,” he explained. This flexible approach allows him to pursue content that traditional broadcast television might not accommodate due to budget and scheduling constraints.
He also expressed a strong desire to connect with audiences outside of metropolitan centers. “I love talking to country people, to farmers,” Stefanovic said. He believes that the digital realm offers a more agile and cost-effective way to produce content and maintain audience engagement compared to the limitations of free-to-air television.
“I just don’t know that free-to-air has the latitude and the budget now to go and do these things that I can. I can keep it cheap, but I can also connect in the way that I’ve always connected. And for me that is such an exciting future,” he concluded.
