Felicity Montagu, who plays Margo Martins in the popular spin-off series Beyond Paradise, recently shared exciting updates about the show during a guest appearance on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, hosted by Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer.
Praise for the Production
The 65-year-old actress, who joined the series in 2023, highlighted the high quality of the acting and production. “I think the acting’s very good in it,” she stated. “I’ve acted for 43 years and I know when I’m acting with someone when I think it’s vacuous and nothing’s happening, and everyone’s really doing their job.”
Montagu added, “It’s brilliantly directed and produced, and with Tony Jordan at the helm I just feel very, very safe.”

During the show, hosts screened a scene featuring Montagu alongside Dylan Llewellyn, known from Derry Girls and portraying Constable Kelby Hartford in Beyond Paradise. Lovejoy described Llewellyn as “such a lovely bloke,” to which Montagu agreed, revealing, “We’re all meeting up in a couple of weeks’ time, which is very nice.”
Filming Location Revealed
When asked about the setting, Montagu confirmed the fictional Shipton Abbott in Devon. She disclosed, however, that production actually takes place in Looe, Cornwall. “It’s great,” she noted. “The fish mongers have gone really upmarket since we’ve been there… And I was going to talk to them because I thought their prices had gone up, but then I thought I’d better not start.”
Upcoming Episode
Beyond Paradise returns this Friday at 8pm, offering fans a continuation following the recent conclusion of Death in Paradise‘s latest series two weeks ago. Sunday Brunch airs every Sunday at 10am on Channel 4.
