Casey Wasserman, the prominent Hollywood executive serving as chair of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics organizing committee, has expressed deep remorse over a series of flirtatious emails exchanged with Ghislaine Maxwell more than two decades ago. The correspondence, which included discussions of massages, physical contact, and playful beach scenarios, surfaced in recently unsealed documents from the U.S. Department of Justice related to Jeffrey Epstein.
In a personal statement, Wasserman, aged 51, addressed the matter directly: “I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell, which took place over two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light.” He emphasized that he maintained no personal or business ties with Epstein, noting a single humanitarian trip in 2002 as part of a Clinton Foundation delegation aboard Epstein’s plane. “I am terribly sorry for having any association with either of them,” he added.
Details of the 2003 Email Exchange
The emails date back to April 2003, when Wasserman had been married to Laura Ziffren for less than two years. At the time, Ziffren was eight months pregnant with their son. On April 1, Wasserman messaged Maxwell: “Where are you, I miss you. I will be in NYC for 4 days starting April 22… can we book that massage now?”
Two days later, Maxwell responded with suggestive banter: “All that rubbing – are you sure you can take it? There are a few spots that apparently drive a man wild – I suppose I could practice them on you and you could let me know if they work or not?” The exchange continued with Maxwell signing off messages with “Kisses” and Wasserman replying with “xoxo.”
Further emails referenced Los Angeles’ foggy June weather, prompting Maxwell to quip: “What foggy enough so that you can float naked down the beach and no one can see you unless they are close up? Or something like that…” Wasserman also expressed interest in Maxwell bringing treats from her travels in Paris and London, replying to one offer: “The only thing that I want from Paris is you.” In another, he suggested: “You, me, and not else much…”
Additional records show Maxwell arranging a flight for Wasserman from Los Angeles to New York on his jet. An undated photograph captures Wasserman with Epstein and Maxwell near a private plane. Flight logs confirm Wasserman and his then-wife traveled with Epstein, former President Bill Clinton, Kevin Spacey, and Chris Tucker to Africa in 2002 for an HIV/AIDS awareness initiative.

As a key figure in Hollywood, Wasserman leads a major talent agency representing artists like Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, and Billie Eilish, following the 2021 acquisition of Paradigm. His influence extends to high-profile events, including a lavish 50th birthday celebration in Santa Monica in June 2024 attended by notable figures such as Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Gavin Newsom, and Doug Emhoff.
Currently, Wasserman is in a relationship with Jenny Chandler, previously a flight attendant on his private jet. There are no indications of his involvement in Epstein’s criminal activities, and the 2002 trip predated formal investigations into Epstein’s sex trafficking operations. Maxwell, 64, remains incarcerated after her conviction for grooming, trafficking, and abusing minors alongside Epstein.

The revelation of these emails comes amid prior reports of Wasserman’s alleged personal relationships with staff members during his marriage. Sources have described instances of lavish gifts and sudden endings to these connections. One former employee, Patricia Feau, who now holds a senior role at the LA 2028 nonprofit earning $350,000 annually, has denied any affair.
Wasserman previously dismissed such claims as unsubstantiated gossip, stating in a 2024 interview: “If that qualifies as reporting, then I guess we’re all in trouble. But we live in a day and age where people can say whatever they want without facts, without cooperation, without sources, and it’s the world we live in.”
