A popular TikTok chef has stunned followers by transforming a large Domino’s order into an elaborate pie, blending takeaway favorites into a single, savory creation.
The Unconventional Pie Experiment
Phil Turner, known for his creative pie innovations on social media, responded to fan requests by attempting a “Domino’s pie.” In a video shared with his over 148,000 TikTok followers, Turner begins by unveiling the finished product—a towering pie that he slices open with enthusiasm, exclaiming, “Come on girl,” and adding, “Oh, it looks good!”
Turner visits a Domino’s location to collect ingredients, including whole pizzas, potato wedges, and Chicken Kickers. He narrates the process, noting, “The time has finally come, you guys have been asking for the Domino’s Pizza for absolutely months now. And even though Domino’s Pizza is one of my favorite takeaways, I just wasn’t sure it was going to work well in a pie.”
Building the Layers
Starting with rolled-out pastry in a large tin, Turner layers an entire pizza at the base and drizzles it with BBQ sauce. He adds potato wedges and Chicken Kickers on top, then places another pizza face down to create a stuffed effect. Turner shares, “Now, I don’t like to give too many spoilers, but I can say this one definitely surprised me.”
To mimic a stuffed crust, he incorporates elements inspired by online versions, stating, “It’s always been a bit of a lifetime goal to make one of them stuffed crust pizza just like I see on the internet, so to be able to do it in one of my own pies feels a bit emotional.” He seals the pie with a pastry lid, brushes it with egg wash, and coats it in garlic and herb dip. A second lid follows, edged with garlic butter, before topping with pepperoni and cheese. The assembly heads into the oven for baking.
Tasting the Results
After baking to a golden finish, Turner removes the pie and reflects, “I wasn’t looking forward to making this one, but now we’ve made it, I’m excited to see what she’s going to look like. Don’t forget we’ve got the little stuffed crust as well, so we’re going to see what that looks like.”
Returning to the initial slice, he cuts the pie in half, revealing the packed filling, and takes a bite. Laughing, he declares, “That is good,” before rating it an 8.6 out of 10.
Fan Reactions and Suggestions
Viewers ed amazement, with one commenting, “My god that looks banging, making me hungry.” Others proposed ideas for future pies, such as a McDonald’s-themed version with various items or a lasagna pie, calling the concept “crazy but oddly good.”
Turner’s experiment highlights the versatility of everyday takeaway items in unexpected culinary challenges, sparking widespread interest among food enthusiasts.
