A 41-year-old British DJ, known online as The Warrior Queen, has pleaded guilty to multiple drug driving offences after a botched dental procedure in Turkey left her with severe facial injuries.
Botched Dental Surgery in Antalya
Leanne Jefferis underwent a £3,000 procedure in Antalya, including dental implants, a sinus lift, and a bone graft. The operation caused her septum to collapse, leaving her unable to breathe, eat, or sleep due to intense swelling. Upon returning to the UK, she sought NHS help but was informed the issue was cosmetic and ineligible for public treatment.
Jefferis launched two online fundraising campaigns to cover reconstructive surgery costs, spending at least another £2,000 on private UK care. She shared photos of her “new nose” on Instagram while seeking donations. Both fundraisers are now closed.
Multiple Drug Driving Incidents
Between October and November last year, police stopped Jefferis several times while she drove under the influence of cocaine. Tests revealed cocaine levels up to three times the legal limit and benzoylecgonine—a cocaine by-product—up to 16 times the limit.
- In Donnington, one stop showed cocaine three times over the limit and benzoylecgonine over 16 times.
- Less than two weeks later, on the same road, benzoylecgonine exceeded 16 times the limit.
- On November 4, tests confirmed both substances present.
Court Sentencing and Response
At Telford Magistrates Court, Jefferis received a community order, a two-year driving ban, £85 in prosecution costs, six months of drug rehabilitation, and up to 20 days of rehabilitation activities.
On social media, Jefferis has denied cocaine use, attributing her struggles to mental health issues following the surgery. She stated: “The whole Warrior Queen is for botched surgery’s gone wrong. I have helped hundreds of people and they have helped me.”
