Elon Musk launches a fierce online attack against Steve Bannon, former advisor to President Donald Trump, accusing him of ‘evil’ ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
Musk’s Sharp Social Media Barrage
Musk declares Bannon ‘evil’ in a series of X posts. He shares a photo from Epstein’s government file, captioning it: ‘That’s a real selfie pic with Bannon & Epstein.’ The Tesla CEO further claims, ‘Bannon was laundering money for evil people,’ adding, ‘Bannon’s list of crimes is very long.’
Newly Released Epstein Documents
Recent files from the Department of Justice and House Oversight Committee expose extensive correspondence between Bannon and Epstein, including hundreds of texts and emails up to Epstein’s July 2019 arrest on sex trafficking charges.
Government records indicate Epstein collaborated with Bannon to rehabilitate his image after a 2008 conviction for prostitution involving a minor. Efforts included plans for a documentary to polish Epstein’s reputation.
Files capture Epstein responding to off-camera interview questions in a voice resembling Bannon’s. The pair exchanged messages about a July 2019 meeting, which Epstein canceled just before authorities arrested him.
Government documents also note Musk’s prior correspondence with Epstein before his death.
Long-Standing Feud Intensifies
Bannon, who aided Trump’s 2016 campaign and hosts the daily ‘Bannon’s WarRoom’ show, stays silent on Musk’s latest criticisms. Previously, Bannon labeled Musk, born in South Africa, an anti-American ‘globalist’ and ‘parasitic illegal immigrant.’
During Musk’s public clash with Trump last summer, Bannon warned: ‘President Trump empowered him more than anyone’s ever been empowered, and people like me said you’re making a mistake. This is a bad guy. He’s going to turn on us. He’s also totally incompetent.’
Musk responds with over half a dozen posts targeting Bannon in the last 48 hours.
Reactions from Trump’s Circle
The dispute prompts allies to pick sides. Conservative commentator Mark Levin posts: ‘Funny how Bannon’s fellow antisemites and isolationists have not demanded that HE come clean about his well-established, video-taped relationship with Epstein.’
Former Trump advisor Roger Stone agrees: ‘[Elon Musk] certainly turned out to be right about Steve Bannon. No one has done more for free speech rights, and the first amendment than [Musk].’
