Los Angeles County firefighters had been responding to a gasoline line explosion in Castaic on Saturday, which prompted the California Freeway Patrol to shut a portion of the 5 Freeway and the Hearth Division to order residents to shelter in place.
The Hearth Division obtained studies of the explosion about 4:20 p.m. close to Ridge Route Street and Pine Crest Place. There have been no accidents, mentioned Hearth Captain Brian Kight.
CHP closed all lanes of the 5 Freeway at 5:12 p.m. for an unknown period.
A landslide in Castaic has ruptured an underground gasoline line close to Northlake Hills Elementary.

The shelter-in-place order, issued at 5:40 p.m., spans a lot of Castaic and advises residents to shut all doorways, home windows and vents, and shut off HVAC methods.
By 6 p.m., the gasoline firm had shut off each side of the gasoline line, however firefighters and a hazmat job power continued to reply to a residual leak.
The reason for the explosion is unknown.
