Khloe Kardashian, 41, states she wants to marry before having additional children. The TV personality and Good American founder shares this view on her Khloe In Wonder Land podcast, while raising daughter True, 7, and son Tatum, 3, with ex Tristan Thompson.
Hesitant on Expanding Family
Kardashian expresses uncertainty about a third child. “I don’t know if I have the bandwidth for a third,” she says. “And I’m also not married, and I want to be married to have more kids.”
She appreciates her children’s bonds with cousins, noting, “They’re close like sisters.” Kardashian maintains strong ties with her famous siblings.
Fear of Dating Revealed
In a January episode, Kardashian discusses Sarmassophobia, an intense fear of dating and romantic intimacy that causes avoidance and anxiety. During a talk with sister Kim, she shares, “It’s a tough world out there for me… Now I feel like I’ve gone so long now. It’s like so scary to get back in there.”
“I feel so safe where I am. And I hated how I felt before. That I’m like, I don’t want to go back there. But I can’t live like this forever. Like I’m afraid that I’m so afraid,” she adds. Kardashian acknowledges therapy may help overcome this fear.
Relationship History with Tristan Thompson
Kardashian dated Thompson starting in 2016. They welcomed True in April 2018, but he cheated while she was pregnant. The couple stayed together initially.
In 2019, they split after Thompson kissed Kylie Jenner’s friend Jordyn Woods. They reconciled during the COVID-19 pandemic but parted again in June 2021, agreeing to co-parent amicably.
Later in 2021, Maralee Nichols sued Thompson for child support after their son; paternity confirmed he fathered the boy while dating Kardashian. Thompson apologized, saying, “You don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you.”
On July 28, 2022, Kardashian and Thompson welcomed Tatum via surrogate.
No Romantic Reconciliation
In a November podcast episode, Kardashian clarifies no intimacy with Thompson. “People are always like, ‘How do you let Tristan back in?’ And I’m like, ‘Well, Tristan is not back in,'” she states. “He’s just the father of my kids, so he’s going to be around his kids and I’m really grateful that he is.”
“I love that he has a great relationship with his kids… I’m never going to get in the way of that,” she emphasizes.
Past Marriage and Business Shifts
Kardashian married Lamar Odom from 2009 until their 2016 divorce.
Sources indicate she remains an investor and ambassador for Good American, co-founded with Emma Grede in 2016, but focuses less on strategy and operations. She prioritizes her podcast and Khloud protein popcorn line, launched in 2025.
Insiders note Kardashian and Grede’s working relationship has faded over the past year due to reduced collaboration. Kardashian plans more solo podcast episodes this season, covering listener-submitted topics.
