Maude Apatow is getting into the director’s chair.
The 27-year-old actress and daughter of Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann celebrated the premiere of her directorial debut on the 2025 Toronto Worldwide Movie Competition on Saturday (September 6).
Maude‘s first movie as director, Poetic License, options her real-life mother Leslie within the lead position. The movie pageant‘s blurb reads partially: “Maude Apatow’s debut characteristic, the hilarious and beneficiant faculty comedy Poetic License, focuses on the unlikely friendship between two faculty seniors and a mature girl auditing their poetry course.”
For the premiere, Maude was joined by Leslie and the film’s different stars, together with Andrew Barth Feldman, Cooper Hoffman, Nico Parker, Maisy Stella, and Methodology Man.
Author Raffi Donatich and producer Olivia Rosenbloom had been additionally in attendance on the movie’s premiere.
