Michael Jackson’s Sons Deliver Touching Tribute at Berlin Red Carpet
Michael Jackson’s sons, Bigi, 24, and Prince, 29, paid a heartfelt tribute to their late father during the red carpet premiere of his biopic in Berlin, Germany. They donned red armbands, echoing the King of Pop’s signature style worn to symbolize support for underprivileged children. Each armband featured an illustration of Jackson’s feet in his famous pose.
Both sons chose sleek black single-breasted suits for the event. Bigi paired his with a crisp white shirt and a gold decal on the jacket, reminiscent of one of Jackson’s legendary performance looks. Prince complemented his suit with a wine-red shirt, completing the stylish homage.
Family Reunion and Film Details
The premiere drew other Jackson family members, including Jaafar Jackson, who portrays Michael in the Lionsgate production. Michael’s brothers, Jackie and Jermaine Jackson from the Jackson 5, also attended.
Set for release in April 2026, the film stars Miles Teller, Nia Long, and Kat Graham alongside Jaafar Jackson. Its synopsis highlights Jackson’s life: “The film presents his triumphs and tragedies on an epic, cinematic scale—from his human side and personal struggles to his undeniable creative genius, exemplified by his most iconic performances.” It promises audiences an unprecedented glimpse into one of the most influential artists in history.
Paris Jackson’s Absence and Criticism
The brothers’ older sister, Paris Jackson, skipped the event. In September 2025, she rejected claims of her support for the biopic after actor Colman Domingo, who plays family patriarch Joe Jackson, suggested otherwise.
“Don’t be telling people I was ‘helpful’ on the set of a movie I had zero per cent involvement in lol that is so weird,” Paris stated. She explained reading an early script draft, providing feedback on inaccuracies, but moving on when changes weren’t made. “Not my monkeys, not my circus. God bless and God speed.”
Paris elaborated that silence stemmed from knowing some fans would enjoy it: “A big reason why I haven’t said anything up until this point is because I know a lot of you guys are [going to] be happy with it. A big section of the film panders to a very specific section of my dad’s fandom that still lives in the fantasy, and they’re [going to] be happy with it.”
She criticized the project as “sugar-coated,” with controlled narratives full of inaccuracies and lies. “At the end of the day, that doesn’t really fly with me. Go enjoy it. Do whatever. Leave me out of it,” she concluded.
