An NYPD cop impersonated an ICE agent and demanded his sufferer and their household report back to a federal workplace in New York Metropolis, federal prosecutors revealed Tuesday.
Atickul Islam, often known as “James W. Anderson,” was indicted on one depend of false personation of an officer or worker of the US — after he allegedly claimed to be an ICE subject workplace director when contacting a sufferer in Queens.
Islam informed his sufferer and the sufferer’s household to report back to the ICE location by April 15, 2025, in accordance with the indictment.
Islam is predicted to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon.
