Sophie Kasaei expresses overwhelming relief after her boyfriend, Jordan Brook, returns home following a 22-day hospital stay battling viral meningitis and encephalitis. The 36-year-old, who is 30 weeks pregnant with their first child, shares intimate moments of their reunion on Instagram.
Heartfelt Reunion for Easter
Jordan, a 31-year-old TOWIE star, spent three weeks in Basildon Hospital recovering from severe inflammation of the brain and spinal cord membranes, along with life-threatening encephalitis. Doctors described his case as among the worst 1% they had seen, involving brain swelling and acute memory loss. He walked out last week, just in time for Easter, cradling Sophie’s baby bump during a home-cooked Sunday roast.
Sophie captions loving photos: “Watching you walk out of those hospital doors felt like getting my whole world back. These past weeks have been the hardest I’ve ever known. But you never stopped fighting, not just for yourself, but for us, for your family, for our little boy growing inside me. The goal was to be home for Easter, and you did it!”
She adds, “Having JB home, hand on my bump, smiling again means more than words will ever be able to say. We are blessed, grateful, and whole again. Happy Easter from us. Enjoy it with loved ones—life is a precious gift.”
Jordan’s Gratitude and Recovery
Jordan comments, “Life really is a precious gift. It’s so good to be back where I belong again. Still a bit of a road but we’ll walk it together.” In a video marking his discharge, he thanks Sophie for “holding me up,” his parents for constant support, friends, family, and hospital staff.
He writes, “22 days in a hospital bed, broken memory from my first admission… I could never have got through this alone. Firstly my @sophiekasaei_, you and my baby boy have held me up… You are my whole life.” Jordan praises his father as his “superman” and mother for her resilience, vowing to be eternally grateful to all who supported him.
The staff at Basildon Hospital earn special thanks: “Your compassion… You never turned your backs on me. Thank you for saving my life! You are a credit to the NHS.”
Challenging Health Battle
Earlier updates reveal Jordan’s body felt “battered and bruised,” with weakness preventing him from walking and a mental struggle. Sophie recounts the terror of his seizures, calling it a “scary time.” She reflects, “Life can come at you really fast… Watching the person I love in pain… is the hardest thing I’ve ever known.”
The couple, dating since 2022, announced their baby boy in January after a two-year fertility battle and a chemical pregnancy. They shared the news at Christmas.
