Two-time Professional Bowl huge receiver Adam Thielen introduced his retirement Wednesday after 12 NFL seasons.

Thielen, 35, spent the vast majority of his profession with the Minnesota Vikings. He loved a second stint with the membership in 2025 after two seasons with the Carolina Panthers earlier than becoming a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers on Dec. 2.

Thielen’s season formally got here to an finish on Monday after the Steelers dropped a 30-6 determination to the Houston Texans in an AFC wild-card sport.

“What a journey it has been!” Thielen wrote on Instagram. “13 years what a blessing! Have been blessed with so many nice relationships and mentors over time that I’m endlessly grateful for! Thanks to everybody who has supported me by means of the years, it has meant all the things to my household and I!”

Thielen turned a Steeler in the future after being granted his request by the Vikings to be waived to pursue extra taking part in time in his closing NFL season.

He completed with 19 catches for 186 yards in 16 video games (seven begins) this season with Minnesota and Pittsburgh.

Thielen performed collegiately at Minnesota State earlier than signing with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He was launched by the Vikings to avoid wasting wage cap house in March 2023 and signed a three-year, $25 million take care of the Panthers. Carolina traded him to Minnesota on Aug. 27.

Thielen made his NFL debut in 2014 and totaled 704 receptions for 8,497 yards and 64 touchdowns in 178 regular-season video games (135 begins).
