On Friday morning at the Barbury Horse Trials held at Sharpridge Farm in Marlborough, Zara Tindall, 44, impressed spectators with her fresh, natural appearance. She competed in an Open Intermediate class event, handling several horses with confidence while dressed in practical riding gear including jodhpurs, a helmet, and a sporty top.
Zara’s Radiant, Bare-Faced Glow
Opting for a completely makeup-free face, Zara showcased her blemish-free, hydrated skin that appeared remarkably youthful, reminiscent of a teenager’s complexion. This choice likely stems from the demands of the physical equestrian activity, where sweat can clog pores and lead to bacterial buildup, prompting many athletes to skip cosmetics during workouts.
Her Everyday Natural Beauty Routine
Zara typically maintains a low-key, glamorous look for public events, emphasizing her natural skin with minimal makeup. Her trusted makeup artist, Alisia Ristevski (known as @littledollfaceofficial on Instagram), frequently highlights products used on the equestrian star, including Charlotte Tilbury’s ‘Magic Cream’ and a refreshing facial mist from Kiko Milano. Close-up images often reveal Zara’s flawless hairstyles and skin prep techniques.
Alisia Ristevski prefers a natural approach. “I like to keep my clients looking very natural, and for skin to look like skin,” she stated. “I would do a slightly heavier look if I were doing a big event such as the coronation or a royal wedding. But I do prefer to do a lighter texture foundation.”
She emphasizes technique: “I also like to use primers underneath the foundation. Layering is very important to create a glow in the right places. I highlight the cheeks – contouring and cheeks are my thing.”
Working with high-profile clients requires timeless choices. “When you are dealing with people who are constantly in the public eye, you need to be cautious of what trends will date very quickly,” Alisia noted. “I work very much with Zara’s personal style and adapt her looks as her style changes over the years. She’s happy to try different looks, particularly if we think it will complement the outfit.”
