Artificial Brick Flowers Return to Aldi Shelves

Shoppers are flocking to Aldi stores for innovative floral displays that require zero maintenance. The discount retailer has reintroduced its popular Blocks in Bloom collection – artificial flowers constructed from interlocking plastic bricks that never require watering or sunlight.

Budget-Friendly Botanical Alternative

Priced at just £2.99 per set, these brick-built botanicals cost less than half the price of similar products from leading brands. Recent price comparisons show twin packs of red roses retailing for £5.98 at Aldi, while comparable sets from competitors exceed £12.

The collection includes varying complexity levels, with models ranging from 81-piece tulips to more intricate 167-piece rose arrangements. Build times typically range from 30 minutes to two hours depending on the design selected.

Customer Enthusiasm Grows

Social media posts showcasing the floral kits have generated significant excitement among shoppers. “The new brick vase completes the display perfectly,” commented one customer who purchased multiple sets. Others reported racing to stores after seeing the designs online, with many locations selling out quickly.

Common customer reactions included:

“Building these is surprisingly therapeutic – perfect for rainy afternoons!”

“My display still looks fresh six months later – best £3 I’ve spent!”

2024 Floral Variety

This year’s expanded collection features eleven botanical designs:

  • Roses (four color variations)
  • Yellow tulips
  • White lilies
  • Pink carnations
  • Purple eustoma
  • Blue clover
  • Lavender and jasmine

Display Options

A new £2.99 brick-built vase accompanies this year’s collection, described by builders as “sturdy” and “simple to assemble.” Each vase can accommodate approximately five fully constructed flowers. Some shoppers continue using traditional glass vases for a more organic presentation.

The floral kits appear intermittently in Aldi’s center aisle promotions and near store entrances. Retail analysts suggest checking mid-week stock deliveries for best availability.
