Wellness Expert Faces Termination Following Email Disclosure

Reports confirm CBS News plans to terminate its recently hired wellness contributor Peter Attia after revelations surfaced about his extensive communications with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Documents reveal Attia exchanged 1,741 emails with Epstein, repeatedly referring to the disgraced financier as his “friend.”

Communications Continued After Conviction

Analysis indicates many exchanges occurred after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor. While no direct references to criminal activity appear in the reviewed correspondence, numerous messages contained inappropriate sexual content that raised concerns.

“The nature of these communications clearly violates our journalistic standards and values,” stated an unnamed network executive familiar with the decision. Attia had been hired just days earlier to contribute health-related segments.

Questionable Content in Exchanges

One message addressed to Epstein stated: ‘P***y is, indeed, low carb. Still awaiting results on gluten, though.’ Such exchanges appeared to demonstrate a personal relationship beyond professional courtesies, familiar with the documents.

Epstein’s criminal history was widely documented during his lifetime, including his 2008 guilty plea for child prostitution charges and subsequent 2019 federal indictment for sex trafficking before his death in custody.

Network Responds Swiftly

The network moved quickly to distance itself from the new contributor upon reviewing the email records. “When these communications came to light, immediate action was taken to protect the integrity of our news division,” confirmed a CBS News spokesperson.

Industry observers note this development marks another instance of Epstein’s extensive network continuing to impact public figures years after his death. The situation remains ongoing as more details emerge.
