Windsor Police have rearrested a 39-year-old man charged with attempted murder after he violated his bail conditions for the second time within about 10 months.
Initial Arrest and Charges
Authorities arrested the suspect in February 2025 following a targeted shooting near the intersection of Partington Avenue and Algonquin Street. He faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, pointing a firearm, and possession of a prohibited firearm without a license. Officers granted him bail shortly after.
First Bail Violation
Two months later, bail compliance officers discovered he had breached his release conditions, leading to another arrest. In October 2025, courts released him under strict house arrest.
Recent Breaches and Latest Arrest
Routine monitoring revealed six violations of his court-ordered conditions between January 30 and February 13, 2026. Police arrested him on Friday along University Avenue West and charged him with six counts of failing to comply with a release order.
His surety, present at the time, also faced arrest and charges for facilitating a breach of the release order. A surety supervises the accused on bail to ensure compliance with all conditions.
