Nicola Peltz Beckham Avoids Family Drama Questions
Nicola Peltz Beckham deftly avoided questions about her husband Brooklyn Beckham’s ongoing rift with his parents and siblings during promotion for her upcoming ballet film, Prima.
When pressed on handling media scrutiny over the family tensions, she shifted focus to her project. She stated, “I’ve been editing my next film Prima for the past two and a half weeks. So honestly, I’ve been in the editing room.”
She continued, “We haven’t had weekends. We’ve just been trying to make a deadline [for Cannes]. And it’s been so amazing to just put my focus on that and be creative. It’s been really fun doing that, and I’m really excited for it to come out.”
Brooklyn’s Explosive Statement
Brooklyn Beckham shocked observers in January with a candid social media post criticizing his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. He declared no plans for reconciliation in person or online.
He accused them of efforts to sabotage his marriage to Nicola, including reintroducing past romantic interests. Brooklyn also claimed his mother danced inappropriately with him during their 2022 Palm Beach wedding, attempting to take over his first dance and leaving him humiliated while Nicola appeared upset.
In the statement, Brooklyn wrote: “For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”
He added: “Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”
Allegations of Interference
Brooklyn alleged his parents sought to undermine his relationship before the wedding. He stated his mother canceled designing Nicola’s dress at the last minute, despite initial enthusiasm, forcing a rushed alternative.
Weeks prior, he claimed they pressured him to sign away rights to his name, impacting him, his wife, and future children. “They were adamant on me signing before my wedding date because then the terms of the deal would be initiated. My holdout affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since,” he explained.
Despite Brooklyn’s no-contact request, David posted on social media: “27 today Happy birthday Bust. We love you x.” Victoria added: “Happy birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much.”
