Darts sensation Luke Littler faces exclusion from the Sidemen Charity Match after KSI, a founder of the event, rejected his participation request. The high-profile clash between content creators and influencers occurs on April 18 at sold-out Wembley Stadium.
Littler’s Bid to Join
In early February, the 19-year-old, a devoted Manchester United supporter, reposted the Sidemen’s Instagram announcement about the rapid ticket sell-out to their 6.2 million followers. He tagged the group and wrote: “Get me in the team Sidemen.”
KSI’s Firm Stance
During a March appearance on Capital FM, KSI addressed Littler’s plea directly. The 32-year-old, also a Britain’s Got Talent judge and part-time boxer, stated: “I have not responded and he’s not in.”
He explained the decision stems from a longstanding rule for the match. KSI clarified: “It sounds so bad, but we only have content creators on the Sidemen Charity Match. So we haven’t ever had a celebrity come on to play. That’s more for like Soccer Aid. You never know, maybe one day we’ll have Soccer Aid versus Sidemen.”
KSI emphasized the policy’s consistency, noting even global stars like Justin Bieber would face rejection. He added: “I think for us we’re focusing more on just content creators. That’s how it’s always been, and even if Justin Bieber wanted to play, we’d go, ‘No! Content creators only.'”
Team Lineups
The Sidemen squad includes prominent online figures such as manager Jack Joseph, Zerkaa, W2S, Vikkstar123, TBJZ, Deji, ChrisMD, and xQc.
The YouTube Allstars team, managed by Calfreezy, features Sketch, AngryGinge, KSI, Max Fosh, Mrwhosetheboss, NYKchazza, Danny Aarons, and others.
