Kerry Katona, the 45-year-old Atomic Kitten star, posted striking before-and-after photos on Instagram from her Fascial Energetics Transformation session. This came shortly after a hospital rush for a suspected stroke that altered her appearance and speech.
The Healing Session Results
During the session at a specialized clinic, Kerry displayed a smoother face, more balanced shoulders, and a noticeably relaxed torso. Side profile, back, and front views highlighted significant changes, including softer trapezius muscles and a brighter, more at-ease expression.
The Wellington Centre, where the therapy occurred, describes Fascial Energetics as a holistic, body-centered approach. It targets connective tissues, or fascia, to release physical tension, stored emotional trauma, stress, and memories. These elements can limit movement, trigger chronic pain, fatigue, or a sense of stagnation.
The clinic noted on Instagram: ‘It takes real courage to feel what’s ready to be felt and allow it to rise and release. So much moved through, visible in her face, body, and energy. Notice the softer traps, balanced shoulders, smoother face, and torso shape change from solar plexus and stomach release.’
They added that the modality, founded by experts in the field, works on and off the body to restore coherence, honor the body’s intelligence, and dissolve protective patterns and survival stress.
Details of the Health Scare
Kerry recently updated fans on her condition, confirming the incident left her looking and speaking differently. While watching her daughter Molly, 24, in a London play, she struggled to smile properly. Her daughter Heidi, 19, spotted the facial issue and rushed her to St Thomas’ Hospital.
Medics treated it as a stroke, transferring her by ambulance to King’s College Hospital for tests and CT scans. Lights checked her eyes as her speech slurred and facial muscles weakened. Doctors ruled out a stroke, attributing symptoms to stress disrupting brain signals to her face.
She experiences shooting head pains alongside altered speech. Doctors assure recovery through speech therapy and facial exercises, though Kerry battles health anxiety. ‘I know I’m talking differently and my face looks different, but it’s loads better now. It comes and goes,’ she wrote in a recent column.
‘I’ve never been so scared. I texted all my children—Molly, Lilly, 23, Heidi, Max, 18, and Dylan-Jorge, 12—telling them I loved them,’ Kerry shared. The ordeal revived her hypochondria: ‘I’m the worst hypochondriac. Reading comments makes me panic truly. It’s awful for my family.’
Understanding Strokes
A stroke, a medical emergency, cuts blood flow to the brain (ischemic) or causes a vessel burst (hemorrhagic), starving cells of oxygen. Prompt treatment prevents lasting damage or death.
